Is it possible to be a Pastry Chef and a Nurse at the same time?

My mom and dad both want me to be a Nurse, but I want to be a Pastry Chef, but I have always wanted to be a Nurse. So I was wondering if I could do them both?

What do I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????

Hi,

Basically I am having trouble at home. My mom is stressed big time cuz were in a financial crisis also she hasnt been getting enough sleep bcuz of my two younger sisters (im the oldest) are uncontrolable. Even I cant get through to them.

My mom told me tht since the recession has started, we havent been the same financially. My dad is on the edge of losing his job and all my mom does is bakes professional cakes and works in my old primary school as a lunch supervisor.

Beacuse of my exams and sats, my mom has been giving me the most attention. so my sister (aged 8) is reacting by turning really difficult. My parents have tried to get through to her by reasoning, lecture, talks, motivation, giving her what she wants but it’s just not working :(
She is (apparently) a bit slow adn so is my younger sister who is supposed to start talking by now but doesnt.

I want to go out and earn money to help my mom and dad, but it’s the UK. We cant do stuff like that here. Plus, I also wanted a I love PB bag which I’m saving up for, so ive become a bit reluctant about giving other people money.
I save money by remembering to turn off the lights, not use too much water, save electricity and food.

Buuut I dont know what to do I want to help my mom and my family. I pray loads too. I cant help but think that it’s because of me and that im being selfish and immature :(
What would you do?
And no, we’re not THAt poor but still I feel sorry for my mom, cuz she never stops working.
I know abt being on benefit and how the goverment gives you a house and council flat, im just saying that im worried about my life and what would you do in my shoes?

Major cake problem!!! Professional cake decorater people help!! Other people can help too?

I know this is kinda long but please read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok well here’s the story: A month back I bought about worth of cake and decorating supplies. So today’s the day to make my mom’s 40th Birthday cake. Tomorrow is her Birthday. Date today:2/3/11. So anyways when the cake was baking I kept fretting about how it might tear when I take it out of the pan. I had sprayed Pam cooking spray in the pans. Well I was right, both cake layers teared. So how it was is imagine a cake and then imagine the cake cut diagonally in half but not a clean cut of course it would be a ridged messy ugly messed up split in half cake. I was trying not to get upset and cry like I normally would. But as I was trying to put it back together and decorating it, I just was getting so frustrated. When it was (horribly) finished. My mom and dad went to go see it and they said "oh its just like the picture you drew!" blah blah blah. Nothing like the picture I drew.
So my dad offered that tomorrow he would get me another cake mix. Instead of the same cake idea I had, I wanted to do a rainbow design using Wilton Brand color mists.
So my idea was: take a round vanilla cake (baked and sprayed and floured thoroughly) and frost it with white icing. Then use 3 colors (red,blue,yellow) and spray the top in a line to fill the top of the cake. Then use like orange and spray the sides or leave it white. Lastly I would use pink frosting to make a border. And red icing for ‘Happy Birthday’.
But the problem is, is that on Wilton website the color mists cost like 3 bucks each! So I don’t know how i’m gonna afford all of that. So basically the Rainbow idea is plan B.
Any ideas?
By the way my moms birthday is smashed because her parents and sister can’t make it because of the snow and ice and they canceled the planes. So I wanted to make the BEST cake ever for her to make her feel better.
Please what do I do?? I’m only 12 but I can bake and cook?? Any easy but professional cake ideas that are a good price?? Links will help me out too.
