Is the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School pastry program good?

i think i want to be a pastry chef. is the program for pastry chefs at le cordon bleu any good? How much money do pastry chefs make? Has anyone been to Le Cordon Bleu and thought it was a great experience ? please answer and thanx .

  • Please have a mentor.
    I know someone that did this and is working at Applebees – not your school – another one.
    Make sure the mentor is a graduate of your school.
    Ask how much the salary is.
    As how are the hours.
    Some complaints are they have to show up at 3pm and work until midnight.
    No weekends off.
    Le Cordon Bleu can cost as much as $80,000.
    Chances are it might take you 25 years to pay this back.
    Focus on the salary a real graduate gets – not what the school tells you a graduate gets.

  • I didnt personally go to the school but a guy I graduated high school with did, he says it was a great program there and he’s gone to lots of places to do cooking and stuff now.

    Think he’s working on opening his own store now.

  • It is a good school. It’s just really expensive. I follow a blog of a girl who went there. If you read it you can figure out what kind of stuff you will learn.
