Is it possible to be a Pastry Chef and a Nurse at the same time?

My mom and dad both want me to be a Nurse, but I want to be a Pastry Chef, but I have always wanted to be a Nurse. So I was wondering if I could do them both?

  • Pastry chefs don’t make that much money.
Too many people do this. Employers are not hiring. No job openings.
Be a nurse. And do pastries for fun as a hobby

  • Be a nurse. You can throw a dart on a map of the united states and you could find a job there. Now you could do both but you would have to do medical school first then go to school as a chef. It’s all about time management.

  • I think you should think about it and decide which one you really want to do. Don’t waste your money getting an education for something you won’t be happy doing in the future. Also, don’t just become a nurse because your parents want you to and people on here tell you its more practical.

You can try to do both, but you will have to choose one to be your main career. For example, my Mom is a nurse and she works with a lady who makes cakes. She doesn’t have a big cake bussiness and only does a few orders a month, because she spends most of her time nursing. She’s doing both. You just have to find the right balance.
