I am thorn in 2 as i dont know where to head…
i love cooking especially desserts and baking… however many poeple discourage me from such a job because of the hours and pay. i do know that cooking inside a restaurant is diff from simply cooking at home
i am currently studying computing however i realised i dont love it as much as cooking.
What should i do??
thanks

It has occurred to me that in some industrial heating processes, radio waves are used to heat the material (microwave ovens too for that matter). What would the cummulative effect of all radio and TV stations, and perhaps other large forms of electromagnetic generation, be on the humidity in the atmosphere? Could we all be living in a large open air, low intesity, proverbial microwave oven? Could these waves cause any form of significant ion chemical changes in the atmosphere, that would contribute to global warming? Has anyone investigated this concept?

For all those pastry chefs/bakers–what is the best book I could buy? I really want one with clearly written instructions and as many pictures as possible.
My sister is starting pastry chef classes next month and I am looking for a GREAT Christmas gift for her!
Thanks!
She already has The Professional Pastry Chef: Fundamentals of Baking and Pastry–they needed it for class. I really want to add to her collection . . .
I am interested in becoming a pastry chef’s apprentice but am uncertain of the process. Do I apply? Do I need to have prior formal training? If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it!
I currently live in California and would like to complete the apprenticeship here, but am willing to relocate if necessary. Thanks!
